Riesling and the Clare Valley are the ultimate white wine collaboration. Tongue-tingling, citrus-flavoured refreshment guaranteed. Drink it now, cellar it for a special anniversary. Put it on a pedestal, because around the world that’s exactly what all the experts do – the region and variety are recognised globally as one of Australia’s most vibrant wine styles.

Our Place
The Clare Valley’s reputation for fine wine covers the spectrum of traditional varieties to exciting contemporary styles. Koonowla’s beautifully renovated cellar door overlooks the stunning homestead gardens and rolling vineyards adjacent to the property. Since the property’s establishment in 1896, each custodian has added something unique to the Koonowla story.

The historic cellar door and stunning event spaces are our family’s history in the making.

Our Riesling
Sourced from our two sustainably grown vineyards in the Auburn district, they combine to create a crisp and vibrant wine teeming with amazing flavour.

The 2021 vintage is recognised as one of the greatest seasons in the past two decades, producing pristine fruit that has been nurtured to reveal pure and exciting expressions of all the varieties we grow.

Our Riesling is not just about immediate refreshment and palate thrills. It has a rare sophistication in its minerally textures and lip-smacking palate feels. This only comes from the gentlest of winemaking techniques, starting with handpicked fruit, followed by minimal intervention in the winery and a focus on crafting the most regionally authentic wine possible.

Want purity in your wine? Taste our Riesling and you’ll discover it sip after sip after sip.
